50 Step Two - Larry May 15, 2025
Well, it has finally happened, Larry has retired, sort of. He has been with me longer than anyone, over twenty years. He beat out Darwin, our retired General Manager, by almost a year. He also sold our grinders for several years before he started working for me. The reason it has taken him so long to retire is that I told him he could not leave until he found his replacement. Turns out, he is irreplaceable. So I did the only thing I could do. I told Mike, his counterpart in the east, to take over his territory. Mike claims he is busier than DeWayne guarding a case of Bud Light from Kid Rock so I had to do something to lighten his load. I talked Larry into coming out of retirement, sort of. We are very proud of our customer service and Larry has been the instigator for this ethos. I have often said that he spoils his customer so the challenge is how can we maintain that level of support. We are creating a Direct Customer Support Hot Line to be manned by Larry. All technical calls will be referred to him at 813-845-4945. He will take calls Monday thru Friday from 7am to 4pm Arizona time (for those of you who don’t know, Arizona time is different from the rest of the country and don’t ask me to explain it). While I believe this will be huge, this is only Step Two. We have even more exciting things in the works so stay tuned.
