Today I turn 71. I spent the last week climbing on top of and crawling underneath Ol’ Sparky, our 2015 Ram ProMaster Demo van. It has 336,000 miles on it and still. runs great, just needs a little TLC. This includes two new headlight assemblies (yes, I know I can polish the lenses but Phoenix is so hot that it melted the inside lens), a new license plate light assembly, half a dozen led bulbs, a new windshield, relocating the hose and cord reel and new covers for the interior lights. I am still not sure why Larry thought he needed a new one that cost $70,000. I am prepping this one for Mike to use as his second van for the Northeast. That way he can fly up on Monday and fly back Friday which will eliminate all the weekend driving and multi-week trips. And I am doing all of this while he sits at home playing on his computer. Well that isn’t exactly fair. He spent the last couple of weeks getting up at 2:30 am to provide tournament support at the ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge at Pelican Championship. Right now, he is at the Carolina GCSA where he is giving not one but two versions of his Cut Line is King presentation, one for the superintendents and one for the equipment managers. And that playing on the computer… he is working on Episode 3 of The Daily Grind which should be premiering soon. After that, he is giving his Cut Line is King Presentation in Ohio, Michigan, Georgia and then again in Florida. All before the National Show in Phoenix where he will give a four hour version of it. You should probably sign up for this one as soon as possible even though it is in their largest classroom. Last year, it sold out early with standing room only. I guess he thinks he can show up the old man.
